Luxury Weddings in the beautiful South Downs

Hollybank is a lovely Georgian Country house on the outskirts of Emsworth and is a unique, romantic and friendly venue for a wedding reception.

The extensive lawn with distant views to Chichester Harbour offers the perfect marquee site to create your own very special occasion, using marquee firms, caterers, florists and other suppliers of your choice. We are happy to recommend excellent suppliers if you would like us to do so.

Packages & Pricing

Weddings at Hollybank are all different and we pride ourselves on starting each one as a blank canvas and working with the couple and not forcing certain suppliers, processes or restrictions onto them, this is after all YOUR day. So we don’t have ‘standard’ packages but are happy to create a bespoke one for you.

As a guide, the price to hire the house and grounds for a wedding starts from £1,000 depending on the day / date.

A Wedding at Hollybank

Guests arrive through the house and enjoy the main reception rooms before moving onto the south facing terraces and lawn for drinks. The main reception rooms of the house are suitable for a small wedding reception, up to 30 formally seated in the Dining Room, or up to 80 for a champagne and canapes/buffet wedding reception.

Most weddings at Hollybank use the outside space and the main lawn for a marquee (or other shelters). Often guests are observed playing croquet whist sipping champagne or strolling round the grounds. There is plenty of space for other entertainment as well.

Food and drink for any tastes can be catered for, whether it be an informal hog roast or a sit down candle lit banquet. We work with some excellent local suppliers but are always happy if you have someone specific in mind for your day.

The house is floodlit and has ample parking, cars may be left overnight. Our Bed and Breakfast facilities are also available for you or your guests.

This August, we held our wedding reception at Hollybank House, and we can’t say a big enough 'thank you' to Ian and Roz. Right from the outset, they listened to us, and made constructive suggestions to accommodate our wishes; we undoubtedly benefited from their expertise and imagination! This preparation led to a relaxed, stress-free experience; the Hollybank Team provided constant, low-key support throughout our day to ensure it ran without a hitch.

We had our wedding here in May. A marquee in the gardens backed by a never ending wall of flowering rhododendrons, with the beautiful Georgian house in the background and glimpses of sea views - we couldn't have hoped for a better venue. Ian was a genuine pleasure to deal with, he made everything so easy and couldn't have been more helpful - thank you Ian! Us and some guests stayed in the house/B&B - so comfortable, delicious breakfast, sea views from the rooms. There are also many places for guests to stay nearby and glamping next door - so this is a perfect location for a wedding of any size. Thank you Ian, Viv, Ani & Family for hosting such a special day for us!
